The Guidance Notes

Four guidance notes were prepared by IRC to support facilitation of the Learning Alliance and Participatory Planning Process in WASPA Asia. These notes refer to issues which were specific to the project. However, stakeholder involvement through the Learning Alliance process and through Participatory Action Planning is relevant for other projects as well. For each project, relevant adaptations to the methodology should be made.

Guidance Note 1 :    describes the Learning Alliance concept. (247 KB)
Guidance Note 2 :    describes stakeholder analysis for understanding who has an interest or a stake in project related issues, their perception and how they relate to other stakeholders. (365 KB)
Guidance Note 3 :    elaborates on the participatory action planning cycle. (420 KB)
Guidance Note 4 :    provides information on the methodology and focus of process monitoring of the learning alliances. (417 KB)

Project Reports

These reports are unpublished background reports written by the project team as part of the process of understanding the project sites and stakeholders. They provide background information and explanation of the project decisions such as site selection. Analysis of the issues in on-going in the project area and the project team would be grateful to receive your comments or input into these reports, or the project as a whole.
